Design mode edits field structure. Preview mode uses temporary test data that does not silently become the field’s default value.
Files and form values are not uploaded, sent to analytics, or saved in a database. Shared, self-hosted modules load while you choose your PDF. Unsaved changes may be lost when you leave.
Build interactive AcroForm fields on your actual PDF. Add text, multi-line, checkbox, radio, dropdown, and list fields; move, resize, duplicate, align, and edit their properties. Preview / Fill uses temporary test data that does not automatically become saved default values.
Choose a standard PDF, add fields from the toolbox, set their properties, and select Save Fillable PDF. Source page content remains PDF text, vectors, or images; it is not rasterized.
Yes. Single-line and multi-line text fields, character limits, alignment, supported fonts, and auto-fit appearance generation are available. Date and numeric helpers are ordinary PDF text fields with RecodeX-specific input checks.
Yes. Add, move, resize, set defaults and export values, and duplicate independent checkboxes. Radio groups provide exclusive options across multiple widgets.
Supported fields can have values, geometry, flags, and properties changed. Unsupported fields are preserved unchanged. Hierarchical source field names and existing radio option definitions cannot be rewritten here; create an independent field or group when needed.
Yes. Dropdowns and list boxes accept ordered export-value/display-label pairs. Lists can allow multiple selections. Editable combo boxes and complex custom widget behavior are preserved but not edited.
Keep Form Fillable is the default. Save Fillable PDF writes real AcroForm fields and widget annotations. Preview test values are not silently saved as defaults. Reopen the saved result with Test Saved Form or another compatible reader.
Fillable output retains interactive fields. Flattening writes supported widget appearances into static page content and removes interactive fields. It is unavailable when unsupported fields remain and is not a method for securely removing sensitive source data.
No document upload or database is used. Work happens in the local sandbox. Reset and page close release temporary files, previews, workers, and download links where possible. Browser memory management cannot guarantee immediate secure erasure of every copy. Download your work before leaving.
